Christopher P. Patton, D.O.
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Dr. Patton is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at New Mexico Spine. He earned his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He then completed his internship at Capital Region Medical Center followed by a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from the University of Utah Health Science Center. During his residency, Dr. Patton was named Chief Resident.

Dr. Patton is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the Physiatric Association of Spine, the American Osteopathic Association and the Utah Medical Association.

He has been the event physician for the Utah Amateur Boxing Association and for high school football in Salt Lake City. Dr. Patton has also been involved in several presentations and in research related to his field.

Before joining New Mexico Spine, Dr. Patton practiced at the SMART Clinic in Sandy, Utah, where his specialty was non-operative spine care, interventional pain management, electrodiagnostic medicine and musculoskeletal and industrial medicine. During that time, Dr. Patton also hosted SMART Talk Radio on ESPN AM 1230 and was a consulting physician at the University of Utah Drug and Alcohol Clinic.
